Congratulations Volleyball!
Putnam City North High School's Volleyball team was named the State 6A
Volleyball Academic Champion during the Oct. 18th state tournament at
Moore High School. The award means the team had a higher grade point
average than any other 6A volleyball team in the state. Putnam City
North volleyball team members had a cumulative GPA of 3.8, topping the
other 31 teams in 6A.
Head coach Susan Stepp says the award was the result of students
wholeheartedly committing themselves to excel.
"I'm so proud of them. This is a very talented and nice group of
athletes who take their studies very seriously. They have the inner
discipline to achieve at a high level on and off the court," says Susan
Stepp, a health teacher at Putnam City North who is also the team's head
coach.
