Foundation Golf Tournament Raises Funds Fore Schools

If you like to play golf and you like Putnam City schools, you're the perfect person to take part in the Putnam City Public Schools Foundation annual golf tournament on Monday, Oct. 30, at the Quail Creek Country Club, 3501 Quail Creek Rd.

Proceeds from the golf tournament fund projects that support excellence in Putnam City education. Event organizers are planning for 72 golfers to take part.

Tee time is set for noon. The tournament format is a shotgun start scramble. Golfers will compete for prizes in categories such as longest drive, closest-to-the-pin and hole-in-one. Lunch will be provided to all golfers at 11 a.m., and snacks will be provided after play.

If swinging a golf club is not what you do best, you can still help. The event needs volunteers, hole sponsors and in-kind donations.

If you’d like to play in the event or take on a volunteer or sponsorship role, contact Dondra Floresca at the Foundation, 495-5200, ext. 1205.

For more information, call Floresca or visit the Foundation website, where player's forms, hole sponsor forms, in-kind donation forms and more may be found.
