These funds would enable installation of Category 6 computer networking cables in the three high schools to carry more data faster than the current Category 5 cables. With increasing use of computers for instruction, video and phones and the prospect of even more technology use in the future, Category 6 cables will prepare the district for4 bandwidth demands. Category 6 cables double the bandwidth of the network, providing greater capacity, speed and reliability enabling students and staff to do more with technology.
