Add or Replace Emergency Lights and Exit Lights

In an emergency, emergency lighting in school hallways and exit lighting may prove to be a important factor in the safety of students, teachers and parents. Five schools need additional emergency lighting that will come on even if power is lost to the building and additional exit signs near doors to the outside. Four schools need exit signs that have a battery backup to stay lit if power is lost.

This item would pay for additional emergency lights at Putnam City High School, Capps Middle School, Western Oaks Middle School, Central Intermediate School and Lake Park Elementary School.

It would also cover exit light improvements at Putnam City High School, Capps Middle School, Western Oaks Middle School and Central Intermediate School.

Funds would be available for addition or replacement of emergency lights and exit lights at additional schools as needed.
