Wiley Post Elementary School has two exterior emergency staircases. The stairs are constructed of steel pans filled with concrete. As moisture has seeped into the cement over time, the steel pans underneath have begun to rust. As a matter of safety, the stairs need to be replaced before they cannot be used in an emergency.
