New Flooring in Schools

Floors take a great deal of punishment. Tile can be damaged by heavy use, shifts in soil and vandalism. Carpets can be damaged by the wear and tear of hundreds or thousands of students walking on them each day, or by spills, moisture and vandalism. Currently the district has a list of flooring needs in schools throughout the district. Some needs are areas where safety is a concern. In other cases, it’s a matter of appearance. This item would pay for carpet and tile as needed in district schools, with flooring needs addressed on a priority basis. The funds are not designated to any certain school or schools.
